How DisclosureProof visits a website

DisclosureProof records publicly visible AI disclosures. A free scan covers the submitted homepage. Paid crawling can cover more public pages after the signed-in account verifies ownership of the domain.

Request identification

Non-browser requests use DisclosureProofBot/1.0 (+https://disclosureproof.com/bot). Browser captures use a standard Chrome user-agent because some chat widgets refuse to load for a headless-browser user-agent. Both desktop and mobile views may be captured.

Robots and access limits

Public scans check robots.txt. A verified owner can request scans of their own domain with an owner override. We reject private, local and non-public addresses at intake. We do not accept login credentials or scan pages behind a login.

Chat interaction

A public scan attempts to open a chat widget and record its first visible message. A direct question about automation is sent only for a signed-in caller who has verified ownership of the website. Verified monitoring can repeat that question on later scans.
