EU AI Act · Article 50(2)
Does your AI generator mark its output?
From 2 August 2026, AI-generated audio, image, video, and text must carry machine-readable marking, such as C2PA Content Credentials, so it's detectable as artificially generated (Article 50, explained). Whether that marking survives to your published page depends on the specific tool, and often the specific export path. Pick yours:
- Does DALL·E / GPT-4o Images (OpenAI) mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Adobe Firefly mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Midjourney mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Stable Diffusion (Stability AI) mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Canva AI (Magic Media) mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Ideogram mark its images as AI-generated?
- Does Runway mark its video as AI-generated?
- Does ElevenLabs mark its voice/audio as AI-generated?
