What monitoring actually does

A disclosure is not a thing you fix once. Widget vendors ship updates, marketing swaps a greeting, a CMS migration drops metadata. Monitoring re-runs the whole scan on a schedule, diffs it against the last one, and writes to you when something changes — keeping the before and after as dated evidence. Below is a staged demonstration on our own demo fixture: we took a site whose widget disclosed its AI, removed the disclosure and two content credentials, and ran both versions through the production pipeline. Every line is the differ's real output — nothing here is marketing copy, and there are no invented dates or customers.

SCAN 1 Baseline. The fixture's chat widget discloses its AI in the first message; articles carry their labels; both sampled images carry content credentials.
SCAN 2 The staged change. The greeting lost its AI line, three article labels were removed, one image lost its credentials. The differ recorded 8 changes:
STATE CHANGE Chatbot AI disclosure at first interaction: PASS → WARN

STATE CHANGE Chatbot disclosure on mobile: PASS → NA

DISCLOSURE CHANGE Chat widget disclosure changed: discloses AI (ai assistant) on panel → no AI disclosure detected

PROVENANCE DROP Media provenance-marking ratio dropped: 1 → 0.5

NOTE A WARN state renders as Attention on the report — a hedge, not a verdict. Both scans stay sealed, so you can show what the widget said on each date, not just that it changed.

Alert emails list every change as a before → after line and link both sealed scans. Nothing in them is a legal conclusion; they are a dated record of what a visitor saw. This one was generated by the production alert code from the staged change on the left.

Common questions

What stays free, forever?

The diagnosis. Any visitor can scan a homepage and see the six core Article 50 findings, graded, with the finding-level screenshot, including their chat widget's captured first message. We never gate whether you have a problem; we charge for the deeper read on it (the three advanced checks, root causes, affected pages, change tracking), the regulator-ready proof, and the ongoing monitoring. The advanced checks are graded and stored on every scan, so upgrading reveals them on the report you already have, no re-scan needed.

How is the one-time Evidence Pack different from Business?

The Evidence Pack gives a single scan the Business toolset at 100-page depth (Business subscriptions crawl up to 500): the full-site crawl, every fix, the timestamped and hashed sealed PDF, the raw evidence appendix, and the 50(3) attestation — with no subscription. Business adds the things that only make sense over time: daily monitoring with drift alerts, multiple sites, white-label reports, and lifetime retention.

Why would I pay monthly if I can buy one Evidence Pack?

Compliance drifts. Widget vendors push updates that drop the disclosure, exports strip metadata, new channels launch unlabeled. A one-time pack proves the notice was there on one date; Pro and Business re-scan on a schedule and email you the moment a finding changes, with a fresh sealed record each time.

My site has way more than 500 pages. Is the crawl even useful?

Yes, because Article 50 problems are almost never page-by-page problems. Your chat widget ships in the site template, so if the disclosure is missing, it's missing on every page, and one rendered check catches it. The same goes for AI-content labels (a per-article-template decision) and your AI policy page (one URL). So the crawl doesn't read your archive front to back: it prioritizes the pages where the duties live: homepage, contact and pricing pages, a broad sample of article pages, and your legal/policy paths, and reports exactly which URLs were checked and how, so the coverage claim in your evidence is honest. If you run a very large or multi-domain estate and want deeper coverage, email hello@disclosureproof.com.

Is a scan or an evidence pack legal advice?

No. DisclosureProof is an informational scanning and evidence tool, not a law firm, and nothing here is a compliance guarantee. Use it to find gaps and keep proof; use qualified counsel for legal interpretation.
